Cumbia Rave Buses
In South and Central America local buses are privately owned. This means if you've got a bus you can deck it out how you want. The buses are all in competion with each other, so to get arses on seats they have to come up with jazzy ideas. The rave bus is particulalrly popular with school kids. Super loud soundsytems, internal UV lighting etc. Impromptu dancing / drinking is encourgaged. And if you don't like it, you can get off.
Lots of them, particularly in Panama like this one, play Cumbia music beacaue its popular and sounds good when your on the road. Kind of like Houston screwed and chopped stuff. This is a great little Cumbia song. My mate tells me that the rapper used to be in terrible Mexican rap band but we both agreed this is hot. Its on the soundtrack to Babel.
