Secousse & O Baile! This Friday
SECOUSSE – Friday 5th June
Notting Hill Arts Club
21 Notting Hill Gate
Free Before 8PM
ME TARZAN YOU JANE
A.J. HOLMES & THE HACKNEY EMPIRE
THE SECOUSSE SOUND SYSTEM FT. RADIOCLIT, A.J. HOLMES & VAMANOS
In June Secousse continues it's musical rampage across the tropics to bring you the original riddims of Afro-Colombia. Taking you to the windswept caribbean coasts of South America, Vallenato.co.uk, will play the sweet sounds of cuuuuuumbia!! They are one of the only Vallenato bands in Europe keeping the roots alive and are going to mash up all your favourite cumbia jams in a nonstop sun-drenched tropical hoedown.
The white hot cumbia sound of the barrios continues with an exclusive live performance from Me Tarzan You Jane. Inspired after months of raiding the CDR black markets of Argentina and Bolivia, Capitol K and Secousse friend Cibelle will bring their own slice of Tropicalia Acid Cumbia to our grinding dancefloor.
Joining them, A.J. Holmes and The Hackney Empire, who absolutely destroyed it last month, and are officially the best house band in London will play their awesome Palm wine tropical bangers. On the decks as usual, The Secousse Soundsystem will rinse the Tribal skanking pressure till chuck out.
O Baile! - Friday 5th June
Bar Music Hall
134 Curtain Road
EC2 A 3RA
Later on I'm playing at O Baile! The Portuguese crew are hosting a tropical pre-summer party with xxxcellent Brazilian Baile Funk Punkers Tetine. They're going to play all kinds of red hot
underground punk funk, disco oddities, political tropical pop - including some baile funk and kuduro action! Followed by me playing the usual Ghetto Bassquake rockers from 11.30-1am.
See you at both!
